First Community Housing

Founded in 1986, First Community Housing is a San Jose-based non-profit affordable housing developer committed to building high quality, sustainable and attainably priced housing.

First Community Housing has developed housing for over 800 households with another 200 units under way – experience that includes family housing, senior housing, live/work lofts and mixed-use developments.

Each of their developments is specifically designed to complement its unique neighborhood context, and focuses on incorporating green building materials and techniques.

Ankrom Moisan is one the West Coast’s largest architectural firms. They have designed many of the projects in Portland's world-renown Pearl District, named by Project for Public Places as "one of the 60 best places in the world." Their new housing projects in Los Angeles are some of the first LEED-certified high-rise condominiums in the state and are helping revitalize a downtown that has seen no new housing in 20 years.
